Today the storm rolled through the Colorado Plateau, I was hoping for interesting photographic conditions, and they did come, but not at the time I expected. A mass of mammatus clouds came through in the late morning, unfortunately I was in no position to create a photograph except from my camp, the clouds hung around longer than expected, but in typical mammatus fashion they quickly disappeared. After this the clouds were grey and flat, so I did not venture out into the winds. In retrospect I should have gone out in the morning, knowing a system was coming through.
