Review of "A Beautiful Anarchy" by David duChemin

Every once in awhile a book comes along that shakes you to the core and makes you reevaluate everything. David has written one of those life altering books in A Beautiful Anarchy. David has experienced much in his life, good, bad and ugly. He's been through bankruptcy, divorce and shattering every bone in his legs. His wisdom in this book comes from real experiences.

If you follow my blog, you know the dramatic life changes I have been through, many of them self imposed. I suffered for years of not spending on entertainment to pay off my debt, I sold off nearly all of my possessions. All of this was so I could live out my dream of a creative life. Free to travel, to explore new ventures, I can do whatever I want now that I've freed myself from the shackles of debt and possessions. This book will inspire you to make those same choices that I was forced to make. You should get this book even if you're not ready to change, because guess what? The time will never be right. Something always comes up, new challenges appear nearly every day. I wasn’t ready to quit my job and start a business, but I took the jump anyway. David talks about embracing fear, not overcoming it. Whatever scares you the most is the thing you should be doing.

I place this book amongst the greats "The War of Art" and "Art & Fear", all 3 of these books should be on every creatives bookshelf. If you're a struggling artist, you can't afford to not buy this book, there is a reason you're struggling, it's time to overcome resistance and start down a new path. I need the motivation myself, I will come back to this book over and over to fuel the fire inside me. Thank you for this life changing book David.
